Cans preserve the food that lies within, the taste, the smell and that moment in time. For a show created for the then Hawke's Bay Museum and Art Gallery — I looked at cans as a metaphor for memory.
The ones we head back to and visit once and awhile. If these memories themselves were physical places what would they look like and how would they operate? How would they keep themselves warm?
