The number eight wire mentality is a global one, with each culture having its own version based on what common material is at hand. The innate human deftness of appropriating one material to perform tasks or repairs, goes right back to the stone age.
Humankind has evolved, and culture has changed when we have been able to find ways to use what lies around us — albeit stones, or lengths of common fencing wire. I wanted to show that within the number eight wire, the same ingenuity that our ancestors had is within us.
